Happy Anniversary !

Three years ago today, Landon and Kacey started their own forever family.  Who would have thought they would begin their 4th year as husband and wife in the Phillipines?

Good Life

Payson - what a sweetie !!  Miss him so much.....  He is GROWING, and his hair is getting so long.  He is always smiling and happy when we see him on the FACETIME, although I'm sure he has his moments.  Here he is in their new home - one shoe and and one shoe off :)  I just want to squeeze him !

Traveling Back

 I don't know why I'm such a "have to know the details" person.  But anyway, Landon and Kacey and Payson are traveling home from Boracay to Bacolod on their Monday, which will be OUR tonight while we sleep.

To get to Boracay, they flew from Bacolod to Manila (to finish up things with their visas), and then from Manila to Caticlan (the launching point for ferries to Boracay Island).

To get back to Bacolod, they will be going a cheaper route.  They will take the ferry back to Caticlan, then board a bus to cross the island of Panay to the main town of Iloilo (see map above). This will take anywhere from 4 to 6 hours.  

Then they will board a bigger ferry, to take them from Panay Island to Negros Island across the  Guimaras Strait, to their town of Bacolod. This will take about an hour.

I know they will be updating their blog, but here are a few pictures they have shared on facebook the past few days.

Back to work....

As many of you know, Roger has been out of work since December, when Hostess shut their doors.   Over the past four months we had heard that U S Bakery had purchased the Salt Lake Hostess Bakery.  

Roger D. has gone to work for Franz Family Bakery as of this week.  He will be doing basically the same work he did in Ogden for Hostess, only on a smaller scale.  Franz will take over the bread and bun market that was left sorely lacking with Hostess shut their doors, and expect to have great growth here in Utah markets.

Look for FRANZ bread and also Sweetheart, Eddy's, Standish Farms, and Grandma Emilie's, coming to stores soon !

A little working Vaca.....

Landon and Kacey and Payson will be traveling this week.  Tomorrow they fly out to Manila, to finish up their visas.  They will stay there one day,  and then fly to Caticlan  and catch a ferry to the small island of Boracay.  Landon will be attending a conference of the Department of Labor on Friday and Saturday.  They will stay over Sunday, and then head back to Bacolod on Monday.  Hopefully by then their home will be ready to move into.  Yeah !!  Only one more week of the hotel life, which is getting pretty old at this point. 

Saturday Soccer and Supper

Treyson  is in the back in blue - he enjoys soccer, but is not what you would call a "go getter" - he mainly hangs back, and defends when needed.

Video for Payson

Payson loves animals.  This is for him.  Nothing too exciting, just another day in Farmer Rich's barnyard.  At about 3 minutes, the little goat does a spectacular jump :)  The motors you can hear in the background are Lori and Elwin's grandkids on motorcycles and 4-wheelers.

I can't wait.............have to share.....
