A Day with Tagg
I think one of the reasons I'm behind on my blogging, is that I take TOO MANY PICTURES...........and I want to share them all, and it takes time to edit them, and then I'm DAYS late, and I've taken MORE pics, and !!!!!!!!!!
I watched Tagg one day last month. I can't even remember why....... or where CJ and Treyson (and Zac?) had gone.
He is ONE.BUSY.LITTLE.BOY.....

I'm slacking...........but I'm saving too !
I know, I know.............
I hate it when the blogs I follow aren't updated (hint hint)
I'll try and better.
Two weeks ago, this is what I bought
$101.52 Total cost before coupons
What did I pay? $52.00 (a savings of 48%)
I was asked, "Are you buying things you wouldn't usually buy?"
The answer is yes, BUT......
I will use them, and when I need them, I won't be paying top dollar :)
Keep smiling !! (stole that from my sis) - PS Happy Belated Birthday Brian - LOVE YA !!

Swing away......
Our new favorite place to be on Wednesday nights is the Morgan RecPlex. Landon is on a men's league softball team, and it has been so much fun to watch him play ball again.
The atmosphere is great. Summer evenings, not too hot, visiting people you haven't seen for awhile, teams that aren't so cut-throat that there is tension and fighting........it makes for a fun evening, that's for sure.
There are 3 fields being used, with games at 7, 8 and 9 pm. Each team usually has 2 games per week. Softball takes a little getting used to. The rules are different from baseball. The catcher's job is almost non-existent. There can be no more than 2 home runs in an inning, and if there is a 3rd, it is an OUT, and if you hit a home run, you just need to run to first base and touch it (strange).
Landon, and his cousin/brother-in-law Keysto play, and also two other cousins, Chans and Casey. I told Roger I thought they should get a team put together for next year, with Roger, Layne & Kerry (the old guys:), and Casey and Jared (Layne's boys), and Zac and Landon (our boys), and Keysto and Chans (Joni's boys). Then LuAnn and Ben could come and watch ONE team, instead of trying to follow three different teams. Right now, Landon is on Brandyn Thackeray's team, Chans and Keysto are on Toomer's team, and Casey is on Holcim's team.
If you aren't doing anything on Wednesday evenings, head on over to Morgan Rec Plex. You are sure to meet someone you know, and you can pick a team to cheer on !!

Moving Day
I have had my eye on this great carport in Morgan City for the past few months. I knew the owners had purchased it "temporarily", or at least I THOUGHT it would be a temporary use. I approached him, and asked if he was interested in selling it when they moved into their new home, and guess what? He WAS !! Yahoo !!
We asked our good friend Roger P., to bring us up some good sandy roadbase (3 loads. He did, and we worked to pack it down and get it ready.
But how to MOVE the carport? The previous owner had hired someone to take it apart at Ace Hardware, and reassemble it in his rental driveway. We really didn't want to go to all of that time and effort, so..............
Zac put on his thinking cap and came up with this. We pretty much think he is a genius :)
They bolted 2x4's and 2x6's together, and TO the carport. They used a Handyman Jack to lift it on the trailer, one end at a time, and then strapped it down really tight. All of this was done while I took Cam back to the airport, so I wasn't around to be a "Nervous Nelly" - which I would have been FOR SURE.
Early Sunday morning (two weeks ago), we met at 5:30 am. I was the "pilot" vehicle with hazard lights a flashing, and Grandpa and Grandma D. were following behind with their lights on also. Roger drove and Zac was in the back of our pickup. We avoided all power/cable lines, drove really really slow, and in about 15-20 minutes, we were pulling into our driveway.........we didn't see a single car !!
We are SO HAPPY with our new purchase/addition. Hope the County Assessor doesn't find out (haha).
