March
1980 - I quit working at Browning, to get ready for the baby.
March 8, 1980
Today
our little Ambure would have been 2 years old.
It's really hard to believe it's been that long since we've been to the
hospital and had a baby. It's hard to
imagine her being able to run around and talk like we see other two year olds
doing.
Yesterday
was my last day of work. Boy I never
thought I would get out of Browning. But
I'm really glad I had the opportunity to work there. The accounting department gave me a playpen
and I'm really glad because I never had one with Ambure. Kevin Thredgold, my boss, gave me an electric
frying pan. It's really neat!!
Roger
has gone to the NCAA finals with Mark (my brother) down at Weber State
College. The water went out in the
apartment today. Something happened with
the well up on the hill. I had a nice
visit with Mrs. Loosli today. She had
been in the hospital a few days ago because her blood was so low. She's better now, but she's going in for tests on Tuesday. Also Roger had two teeth pulled and the
dentist left the roots in one and it's been giving him so much pain and
trouble. He's going again on Tuesday,
and I hope everything will work out. I
went to the doctor Wednesday, and I go again on the 19th.

Boy
I sure am getting terrible about writing in this journal. It seems like when I think about it, I'm always too busy to get it out and sit
down for a few minutes. So many things
have happened since I last wrote. Roger
almost got a job at Mountain Fuel, but it didn't work out. Sheetrocking is really slowing down and Rog,
Layne and Malan all want out. Maybe they can get on up in Evanston, Wyoming
(Oil wells) in about a month, it would
pay really good money ($48,000) a year!
I just want to feel secure and know I'll be able to feed my kids Hey!
That reminds me.
In
just "11" more days, Rog and I will again get to have a new little
spirit in our home. We are both so
excited. I quit work 3 weeks ago and I've been working hard and keeping busy getting my house fixed up for the big
day!! I went to Dr. Godfrey on the 28th
(March) and he scheduled me to go in and be C-sectioned on the 9th day of
April!
(It
looked like I wasn't thinning or dialating, and so he decided that a C-section
would be better than normal) I can
hardly believe that this pregnancy is finally over. It's gone SO fast! When I sit and wonder what this baby will be,
and what it'll look like, I get so anxious.
These past two weeks there have been obituaries of babies who have died
shortly after birth. It gets me really
scared for this baby and I think that it will die like Ambure did. But I try not to think about it.
Roger
has sure been playing allot of basketball lately. He just finished playing in the Morgan First
Tournament in the championship
game. They lost 60 to 65, but he played
a great game and made about 14 or 15 points.
He has improved so much. He even
got a trophy! We got mom and dad's fish
tank over here and we really enjoy it.
We bought 7 fish yesterday (4 white clouds, 1 angel, 1 neon tetra, 1
algae eater) Mom gave us a rainbow shark
that was getting picked on in their tank also.
Today
is Sunday and we went over to moms and read the Book of Mormon this
morning. The consolidated meeting time
is working out really well, and I think everybody likes it. Well I've got to fix dinner and curl my
hair so I better go for now.
